Sports Illustrated Front Row and VH1’s SXSW Music sections, new on Flibpoard

We’re very excited to announce more exclusive content to further enhance your Flipboard experience.

Sports Illustrated, the most respected name in sports journalism, is bringing a “Front Row” experience of the NCAA Final Four tournament to the iPad. Front Row is a new series of free apps from Sports Illustrated that will deliver all the action and images from the world’s biggest sporting events to your mobile devices, and the Flipboard version of Front Row will also integrate photos, stories, and insights from Sports Illustrated’s award-winning writers via social media.

Now, using your Flipboard, you can interact with a custom NCAA bracket that changes throughout the day. You can tap on team names to see photos from that game or flip through pages of updates, news and analysis as games happen. You can track team updates via live, personal posts from the reporters on the scene. Scores will be updated live and, as the games progress, you’ll see who is next in the bracket with great photos from each game.

Add the Sports Illustrated Front Row featured section to your Flipboard now and let the games begin!

We have also teamed up with VH1 to feature their South by Southwest curated section to guide you through the massive amount of news and information coming out of the music festival portion of the famous SXSW conference and festival as well as other music news. SXSW has played a vital role in launching the careers of some of the biggest acts in music today. Follow the show on your Flipboard to get a glimpse behind-the-scenes of the gigs and crazy parties. You may even experience the moment when the next breakout band breaks out, because this is where it happens, at SXSW on your Flipboard.

You can also add a beautiful section of interesting photography by adding Instagram’s Popular feed. This is the best of the photos from our latest social network to be added to Flipboard. WIRED magazine is also a new pages partner on Flipboard and well-worth a tile on your Contents page.

We also have news feeds for the events transpiring in Libya as the world prepares to respond in force following the UN resolution passed yesterday and for the on-going news from the overwhelming tragedy in Japan. These are custom curated feeds from an incredibly deep, diverse set of sources, curated for Flipboard by Sulia. Both feeds are excellent resources for staying informed about these fast moving, critical situations.

To add these sections, either tap the new Featured Ribbon in the top right of your Contents page, or tap an empty tile to Add a Section and discover it in the menu there.
